Locally family owned and operated
In January, 2019, I founded Metro Detroit Estate Sales with with my oldest son. In just three years, our passion and energy has attracted a great group of regular customers. These customers that give us constant feedback of what they like—and don't like—at both our sales and our competitors’ sales. We use this information to make Metro Detroit Estate Sales the best estate sale company that we can be. Our customers tell us that we have the most reasonable and fairest pricing in the industry. And, better prices means more customers, higher sales, and in the end, more money in your pocket.
All the above translates into a happier home owner. Higher total sales and more items sold during the sale which means less clean up after the sale. Throughout the process we handle the items and the house with the utmost care and respect. You only get one opportunity to have your loved-one's sale and we think we conduct the best estate sales possible.
Our Services
Before the sale, we:
Help you decide which items to keep and which items to throw out.
Research valuable items in order to price them so that you can make the most from the sale
Create online listings on several websites, with pictures and descriptions of your items, to attract more people to your sale.
During the sale, we:
Help customers find items they may be looking for, help them load their purchase into their vehicles, and even deliver purchase, when necessary.
After the sale, we:
will advise you as to where different items might be donated and give you option on disposing the other items that didn’t sell.
Meet the Team
Co-owner
Mike Romanchik Sr.
Mike Sr. has a bachelors degree in finance and a masters in marketing, Mike loves that each sale brings new and interesting items and challenges during the sale. He always asks customers if they are looking for something specific from the online listing, and if so, makes sure that they don’t leave without it, if it’s still available.

Mike Jr. works the check out table and loves greeting and negotiating with customers. Many regular customers like to just stop by and say hi to him. They always end up buying something! If an item is too heavy for dad to get to the customer's car, Jr. jumps in and helps.

Cathy
Cathy is a seasoned sales professional with more than 35 years experience in customer relations. Cathy is friendly and professional and has a sincere respect for collectables, things that are sentimental in value and that have unique story. Cathy brings a women's touch to our set up and displays so we can get the most value.

Rick
Rick is the jack-of-all-trades. He does a little of everything. Interacts with the customers. Carries heavier items to the customer's cars and keeps everything neat and clean

Jackie is my other family member that has been with us from the beginning. She is very helpful with all aspects of the sale and customer service.

Stan
Stan helps customers looking for specific items, helps with heavier items and his specialty are tools and garage items. Which is very helpful when there are larger, more expensive machines for sale.
